The Details:

Join 25 On The Fly and The Mayfly Project for a 2 day fly fishing scavenger hunt for the benefit of The Mayfly Project non-profit mission! $75 of each team sign up will go directly to The Mayfly Project to support their 2022 projects! The Mayfly Project is a non-profit that seeks to support children in foster care through fly fishing and to introduce them to their local water ecosystems. Participation in this event is virtual in that anglers will document all of their scavenger hunt and species challenges using the 25 On The Fly smartphone camera app. The team submitted videos will be judged according to the scavenger hunt challenge list and scores will be tallied to determine prize winners for the top 3 teams as well as the winners of the branded team challenges. For 2 days of fun, adventure and challenges, teams of 2 fly fishers will fish, explore and engage in this event digitally, all across the country!

Right now, you can register in teams of two for a weekend of fly fishing as hard as you can, to catch as many fish you can and completing as many team challenges as you can from our list! The more you complete, the closer you are to winning amazing prizes! After registration, teams will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to submit your CATCH – VIDEO – RELEASE submissions as well as a 2 person swag bag with official control wristbands, swag and items pertinent to the team scavenger hunt challenges!

Beyond having a shot at winning our second ever NATIONAL tournament, your registration also supports The Mayfly Project in mentoring children in foster care and introducing them to the life-fulfilling sport of fly fishing. $75 of each team registration will go directly to their mission. Find out more about why fly fishing can change the life of a child in foster care here www.themayflyproject.com.

In this 2 angler weekend long fly fishing tournament meets scavenger hunt, teams will compete to catch the most different species on a fly on public land all over the United States. Utilizing a specialized cell phone app called “CINEBODY,” 25 On The Fly teams will participate in this fun, challenging angling scavenger hunt. Teams will be tasked in chasing all eligible species and using their cell phones to CATCH-VIDEO-RELEASE fish in a manner that follows safe handling practices as outlined by the Keep Fish Wet organization. As teams submit catches to the tournament platform, videos will populate in real time on the judges control panel where species count and point values will be tallied.

Not only will you find yourself pushed beyond your angling limits, and enjoying every minute of it, but you will be helping to raise money for The Mayfly Project. The Mayfly Project is a 501(c)(3) national organization that uses fly fishing as a catalyst to mentor and support children in foster care. The Mission of The Mayfly Project is to support children in foster care through fly fishing and introduce them to their local water ecosystems, with a hope that connecting them to a rewarding hobby will provide an opportunity for foster children to have fun, build confidence, and develop a meaningful connection with the outdoors.

The winners will be established at the end of the fishing day on May 23rd, and whomever catches the highest number of species AND completes the most challenges on the list will be our winning team! You can find out more about the rules of the tournament and the timeline of events here.
