The Fly Fishing Show is excited to announce that seven staple shows are locked-in for January through March 2024. And, this year’s shows will again play host to the immensely popular Consumer Choice Awards. These prestigious awards are presented by The Fly Fishing Show, Angling Trade, Fly Fusion Magazine and Fly Fishing Journeys serve to recognize and celebrate the outstanding research and development that go into bringing new products to market that continually improve our angling and experience. And, as true Consumer Choice Awards, winners will be voted by fly-fishing consumers – the everyday users of these products!
The awards are free to enter and entry is open to all 2024 Fly Fishing Show Exhibitors. There are 39 “Best-of” categories to choose from, including everything from rods and reels to waders and polarized eyewear.
Product submission is open October 15th through December 15th, 2023 and entering is a simple online process.
Winning products will be announced following the close of voting and winners will receive the prestigious “Consumer Choice Awards” icon to utilize in marketing efforts throughout 2024.
The big winners included Ross Reels, which swept both the freshwater and saltwater reel categories with its “Evolution” model. Similarly, Scientific Anglers took top honors for freshwater and saltwater fly lines with the Amplitude Smooth MPX and Amplitude Smooth Grand Slam, respectively. Umpqua’s Thunder Grass hopper was the winning freshwater fly pattern, and its Danger Muffin Crab claimed top spot for saltwater fly. Fly-fishing upstart Skwala won the outerwear and wader categories. Simms Fishing Products took top honors in nine categories.
The Fly Fishing Show organizer, Ben Furimsky adds “Our goal is to recognize the hard work of all manufacturers and service providers who continually seek out innovative ways to improve the wide variety of products and services offered to fly fishing enthusiasts. What makes the Consumer Choice awards unique, is the opportunity for consumers to see and test 2024 entries in person at our events across the nation.”
