LANCASTER, PA – The newest fly rods and reels, boots, waders, personal watercraft, artwork, vacation destinations and everything in between will be on display at the 2025 Fly Fishing Show in the Lancaster County Convention Center, 25 South Queen St., March 15-16.
Hours are 9 a.m.-5:30 Sat.; 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sun. Fly Fishing Show® admission is $20 for one day, $35 for two days. Children under age 5 are free as are Boy and Girl Scouts under age 16 in uniform. Children 6-12 are $5. Active military with an ID are $10.
The show will feature two “coffee klatch” discussions with 95-plus year old Pennsylvania spring creek fly fishing legend Joe Humphreys as part of 22 classes being offered. Other classes include an Advanced Fly Casting Class with Mac Brown on Fri., March 14, the day before the show opens, with a tuition of $625; and two classes of Comprehensive Euronymphing with Jason Randall and Josh Miller on Sat. morning and afternoon at $225. All other classes are $95 including the sessions with Humphreys.
Standard classes include Casting Strategies with George Daniel, Spring Creeks – Flies and Techniques for Success with Jake Villwock, Knots and Rigging for Trout with Tim Flagler, Flies for the Underhatch with Bob Lindquist, Increase Your Distance with Mac Brown, Introduction to Fly Fishing for Women with Dianne Tidy, and Tying Euro Nymphs and Other Competition Favorites with Tim Cammisa.
Nearly $100,000 in door prizes will be awarded including a Golden Dorado trip for two by Nervous Waters, value $9,500; a week at Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge in King Salmon, Alaska, value $7,500; a week at Rio Manso Lodge in Northern Patagonia, value $7,000; Belize River Lodge, Belize for two anglers, value $6,400; a week at Chile Trout, value $6,190; and three days at Fish Partner Lodge, Iceland, value $6,375; Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, $1,500 credit on any trip.
The show will have 18 free seminars including A Pennsylvania Fly Box with Eric Naguski, Where Trout Are: Beyond Reading the Water with Jason Randall, The Devil Fishes Mono with George Daniel, Intro to Smallmouth Bass: What You Should Know by Jake Villwock, and Spring Creeks – Tips and Tricks from a Pro with Mike Heck.
Among the 49 continuous Destination Theater presentations are The Best Place to Catch Baby and Juvenile Tarpon in the Yucatan; The Fabled Alagnak River of Bristol Bay; Fly Fishing for Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Char and Grayling on the Kanektok River; Mastering Fly Fishing with a Tenkara Rod; Bonefish in Paradise; and Medical Preparedness for Every Angler, Guide, and Lodge.
There are 13 fly-casting demonstrations in two ponds including those by Joe Humphreys, Mac Brown, George Daniel, Mark Signorino, Tim Flagler, and John Field.
The show offers continuous fly tying demonstrations plus featured fly tiers Tim Cammisa, Tim Flagler, Jake Villwock, Thomas Baltz, and George Daniel.
Attendees can cast their votes for the 2025 Consumer Choice Awards. There are 41 categories of new fly fishing products in the competition with awards to be made jointly by the Fly Fishing Show, Fly Fusion Magazine, and Fly Fishing Journeys.
Fly Fishers International (FFI) hosts the free Fly Fishing Learning Center with fly tying, casting instruction and other fly fishing information.
The regional premiere of the two hour 2025 International Fly Fishing Film Festival is Sat. (3/15) at 6:30. Tickets are $17 in advance or $20 at the door.
