Episode Summary

Welcome to the next episode of the Fishing Journeys Podcasts.  I have a special treat for you, a two-part episode with one the true gentleman and thought leaders in fly fishing today, Derek Bird. This conversation was so fun and thought provoking, we had enough material for two parts.  No worries though, we are posting part-two tomorrow and depending on when you are listening, it’s probably already live.  When you are done with part-one just head over to part-two.  I like to be mindful of the podcast lengths as so many of you listen in your car, on your commutes.

Derek Bird is a Founding Editor of Fly Fusion Magazine. He writes the Editor’s Column called “Stream Lines” for each issue.  He a co-host for the Fly Fusion TV as well as the producer responsible for content acquisition for the International Fly Fishing Film Festival, also known as, IF4, which is seen around the world. Additionally, he’s the author of a new book called, Last Summer on the Sage, that April Volkey says is “A riveting tale, full of suspense, that had me on the edge of my seat, anxiously turning each page to see what was around the next river bend.”
