Episode Summary

Matthías (Matti) Þór Hákonarson – Iceland Fishing Guide – Atlantic Salmon Fly Fishing

Our journeys along the fly fishing trail have many different aspirations.  Sometimes it’s about being in nature enjoying the quiet sport. Sometimes it’s about the dream trip or that bucket list fish. For me, friendship and camaraderie with my fellow anglers has always been a big motivating factor to my fly fishing journey.

It wasn’t long into my first trip to northern Iceland with Matti that I knew were going to be great friends. Matti has a great way about him that makes him fun to be around.  But more than just fun, he’s an incredible guide and a true friend.

And along with all that, he put me on my first Atlantic Salmon, a dream come true.

Enjoy this podcast about Iceland, a magical place and about Atlantic Salmon, a magical fish.
